Families Advice project at Richmond AID closed – Dec 2023
Richmond AID is sad to announce that our Families Advice project which we delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice is now closed. We are very thankful to RPLC and Hampton Fund who funded this project for a two-year period.
The Families Advice project supported families experiencing multiple issues including housing, homelessness and relocation, domestic violence, immigration issues, benefits and money and debt issues. The project enabled us to have a more long-term casework approach that is needed for more complex cases.
We received many referrals from Achieving for Children and developed a very effective working relationship with their social work and safeguarding teams.
Our Families Advisor Adisa Giles has now moved on to another project with Richmond AID. We will continue to offer advice to families through our Information Navigation service but due to the large number of referrals we receive for this service our capacity for casework is limited and we may have a waiting list.
Our Information Navigation service can be contacted on 020 8831 6070 or email [email protected].
Richmond AID are aware of the shortage of advice services for families in the borough and will continue to work with other charities and statutory services to raise the profile of this gap.
