Tell us your story. Be heard.

Are you a Disabled person living in the borough of Richmond upon Thames?

Are you facing housing challenges?

Richmond AID is hosting monthly forums and we want to hear from you!

This forum is a space for Disabled residents to share their experiences, concerns and demands for accessible and affordable housing options in our borough.

Our community faces a housing crisis. Skyrocketing rents, limited accessible options and rising homelessness are pushing people out. But we can make a difference!

  • Are you priced out? Rents and house prices are skyrocketing, forcing many out from our community. Struggling with rent? Facing sky-high bills?
  • Are you feeling trapped? Finding accessible housing is a nightmare for Disabled people.
  • Not getting the support you need? Are your needs not being met by the local housing associations? Doors too narrow, no lifts?
  • Nowhere to call home. The number of people losing their homes and facing homelessness is rising. Been served an eviction notice? Are you in temporary accommodation?
  • Let’s brainstorm solutions! Everyone deserves an accessible, affordable home.
  • Share your story and experiences! Together, we can understand the problem and fight for change.

Together, we will:

  • Share our experiences with housing in the Richmond borough.
  • Develop a list of demands for a more equitable housing system.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure our rights are respected.

This is your chance to make a difference! Join the conversation!

We are committed to listening to your voice and working together to create a better way forward.
